Chic in Every Shade / Denim Shorts

We’re right in the middle of summer and the weather has been extra hot and humid lately. I personally do NOT do well with long pants during the summer so I either live in dresses or shorts during the summer months.

I’ve teamed up with a great group of bloggers to each style our favorite pair of distressed denim shorts in a Chic in Every Shade group post. All their post links will be at the end – please go check them out!

I’ve been loving white denim in particular because this tan only lasts for 3 months out of the year so I’m showing it off while I still can! Does anyone else do this? I savor the little summer glow that I have like it’s the last bite of dessert.

I’m sharing this great all white outfit that’s great for a casual or semi-casual event. I’ve been loving monotone looks with a pop of color!

Shorts: I have had these shorts from Hollister for maybe 4 years now and I couldn’t find the exact one but I found two very similar ones from Hollister linked here and here. This pair from American Eagle is also a great option and lastly, this pair from Reddress.

I normally like to wear a belt with these but I wanted to try something new and I threw up a ribbon belt that came from a dress that I had and I LOVE the way that it turned out! If you have a piece of long ribbon or sash give this look a try. I just tied it twice and tucked the ends in.

Shirt: I have so many button up shirts and this white Ralph Lauren Oxford shirt is great for summer and I love the slim fit. Alternatively – a blue Oxford shirt would also go amazing with white shorts!

I paired it with my favorite Daniel Wellington watch – I love the brown strap with the all white look!

I just re watched Dirty Dancing again for the…100th time and I won’t lie this looks gives me a bit of the Kellerman’s country club vibe?? I mean just put take me back to the 60s and put me on the dance floor with Patrick Swayze already!
