Brow Power: Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW™ Pomade

My brows and I have had a somewhat troublesome relationship, definitely unhealthy. I’ve always felt like I’m always putting in more effort and I’m never getting anything in return!

I used to have very scarce, barely there eyebrows and to say they were out of shape is probably the biggest understatement of the century. Over the last few years, they’ve actually grown a lot more and I actually started to tweeze and shape them. It’s funny because I used to never care about my brows and when all my friends in middle school were talking about getting their brows done, I let that information go in one ear and out the other. Apparently, my brows were the least of my worries amidst puberty and boy troubles…what a time middle school was right?!

I recently went to San Diego and my friend suggested I try the Anastasia Brow Pomade because I was having worries about the disappearing brow when we went to the beach. Plus it is summer and I have pretty oily skin around my t-zone so needless to say I was worried I would be walking around with half my brows gone, not pretty.

Prior to trying her brow pomade, I had been using my Face Shop slanted pencil which is a product that I love and will do a review on very soon but it does not provide the staying power that I need.

Now comes the time that I rave about this Anastasia product. First of all, this tiny pot last forever because a little goes a long way and you do not need a lot of product to get brows on fleek. The formula is extremely creamy and luxurious and practically glides onto the brows. The colour that I’ve been using is called ebony which is the best brow colour that I’ve ever used. I find that a lot of brow products I’ve used before have too much of a red undertone that never seems to look right on me. Ebony is a great cool toned dark brown colour that can be applied lightly for a lighter brown or built up for a darker colour. Although my hair has gotten a little lighter over the summer, this colour still looks great!!

As for staying power, this stuff if everything proof. It does not budge at all and stays all day long. I have gone to the beach, showered and gone to the gym with this stuff on and when I worriedly looked into the mirror, I was in awe that my brows were still in tact and looking great.

I use a slanted brow brush to apply the product and I’m not gonna lie, it takes a while to master natural looking brows with this product because if you use too much product, it doesn’t look as natural as I would want it to look. I start off with very little product on the brush and start by drawing a light line along the bottom of my brow to get a shape going and then I fill them in accordingly. I’ve only been using this product for a little while and I have to be honest when I say that I am still experimenting with this product and I am in no way an expert on my brows trust me!!

I wanted to show you guys this picture on my brows after a day at the beach full of water and sweat and accidental rubbing of my brows!! I can guarantee you that none of my other products do the same thing!!

If you’ve had brow troubles and haven’t found the product for you, give this a try!! It has saved me!!

Until next time!

Arrivederci,
